City Eco Centres accept electronics: TVs, computers, monitors, printers, and more, for recycling through Alberta's electronics recycling program. Fine for a device or two you can load and drive over yourself.
Donate working or repairable gear
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) accepts working and non-working electronics and repurposes usable equipment for charities, schools, and non-profits. A good option if the device still has life in it.
Use a retailer drop-off
Retailers such as Best Buy and Staples take back small electronics, cables, and batteries in store. Handy for a phone, a few cables, or a small device rather than a full load.
Wipe your data first
Before any computer, phone, or tablet leaves your home, back up what you need and erase the device, whether you drop it off or we carry it out. This one step is always yours to do.
