Why There Is No One-Size Price
A small two-person tub sitting in an open yard is a very different job from a large built-in spa on a raised deck behind a locked gate. Instead of quoting a made-up number that would not hold, we look at what your removal actually involves and give you a single, flat price up front. These are the things that move that number.
What drives the cost
Four Things That Shape Your Price
Size and how it is built
A compact tub is quicker to handle than a large spa, and a heavier, more solidly built shell takes more work to cut down and carry out.
Where it sits and access
On a deck, sunk into the yard, behind a fence, up a flight of stairs, or through a tight gate, the harder it is to reach and remove, the more labour it takes.
Whether it must be cut apart
Most hot tubs are too big to move in one piece and have to be cut into sections to come off the deck or out of the yard. That is normal, and it factors into the work.
Disposal and recycling
The shell, cover, pump, and parts all have to be hauled and disposed of, and we recycle the metal where we can. The volume of material is part of the price.
How we price it
One Flat All-In Quote, Confirmed Before We Start
A hot tub is one defined item, so it gets a single, flat, all-in quote rather than a by-the-load rate, you know the full cost before any work begins. Send a few photos of the tub and where it sits, and we can quote most removals without an on-site visit.
What the quote includes
- Draining and disconnecting the tub
- Cutting it into sections and lifting it out
- Taking the cover, pump, and loose parts too
- Hauling it all away and recycling the metal where we can
- Leaving the spot clean, at a price confirmed before we begin
For how we price every job, see our pricing page. For the service itself, see hot tub removal.

Common questions
Hot Tub Removal Cost Questions
How much does it cost to remove a hot tub in Calgary?
There is no single price, because it depends on the tub: its size and build, where it sits and how we get it out, whether it has to be cut into sections, and disposal. We give one flat, all-in quote up front from a few photos, so you know the full cost before we start.
Why do hot tubs have to be cut into pieces?
Most hot tubs are too big and heavy to move in one piece or fit through a gate, so cutting them into sections is the normal way to get them off a deck or out of a yard. We are set up to do exactly that.
Do you take the cover, pump, and parts too?
Yes. The cover, the pump, and any loose parts go with the tub, and we recycle the metal where we can. Nothing gets left behind.
Does it cost less if I drain it first?
Draining the tub before we arrive can speed things up, but it is not required, we can handle a bit of leftover water and the disconnection. Either way, you get a flat quote up front.
